For the Spring-Summer 2023 GANNI collection, Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup, names her collection Joyride. A tribute to Copenhagen, the city that holds a special place in Ditte's heart, she explains "Copenhagen's vibrant energy during summertime is difficult to describe, it pumps with vitality and set your hear racing."
Inspired by the beautiful capital, and through the brand's growing following of GANNIgirls, the collection is lively, fun and effortlessly stylish - all qualities that are distinct to the style of Scandinavian fashion.
The Spring-Summer 2023 collection features undulating lines on collar and hemlines, reminiscent of a heartbeat. “It is a harmonious representation of life that is incorporated throughout the collection.”
The show itself was a veer off from traditional fashion week shows. Situated on a pier in the city, at sunset models rode out on bicycles or walk alongside them creating a dynamic display that showcased how the clothing would look when worn in real-life settings.
