Susie longed for dresses to make her feel empowered and confident. Her designs overemphasise the female form with hidden frills to exaggerate the shoulders and a nipped in waist to create that ‘subversive feminine’ aesthetic. Luxuriously crafted and cut in unique fabrications: glimmering metallics with a spirit-like feel, or darkly romantic meadowy prints which have that playful edge.
The Vampire’s Wife Pussy Bow collection, launched in 2019, was created in collaboration with costume and set designer Alice Babidge. The campaign features Susie and Nick’s close friends including Kiera Knightley, Bella Freud and Philip Treacy.
The Vampire’s Wife dresses are adored by celebrities and royals alike. They have been sought out by high profile clients such as Cate Blanchett, Kate Moss, Florence Welch, Kylie Minogue and many more. In 2020, Vogue crowned the emerald green Falconetti Dress, worn by the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, “The Dress of the Decade”.
