For Fall-Winter 22, the iconic Acne Studios Musubi bag is re-introduced in two new styles: Musubi Micro Tote and Musubi Shoulder Bag offered in colourways of Cobalt Blue, Charcoal Grey and White/Black.
Musubi is designed for minimalists. ”Characterised by a twisted knot motif, which takes inspiration from the traditional Japanese obi sash, the Musubi is handcrafted in Italy from supple calfskin leather.” They are companions for everyday life that capture premium craftsmanship with traditional Japanese references.
The latest campaign by Talia Chetrit offers a new interpretation of the iconic Musubi bag. Chetrit discussed that “contrasts in tactility and materiality – most notably skin and leather”, is the inspiration behind the shoot. With the use of intimate photography, she provokes this idea with both bodies and bags.
The unique installation was launched at Acne Studios HQ in Stockholm. Showcasing the Musubi Micro tote and shoulder bag on bare masculine male dancer’s bodies, symbolizing the strength and structure of Musubi.
